Colt Government MK IV Series 70 Model 1911 USMC Special Limited Edition .45 ACP pistol with original box, and wooden presentation box. Manufactured in 1979. The left side of the slide is marked with the USMC insignia, acanthus engraving with the historic image of the soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima and "United States Marine Corps Limited Edition." Left side also stamped "Colt Government Model .45 Cal Hartford CT". The right side of the slide has the identical Iwo Jima marking with "United States Marine Corps Limited Edition" next to it. USMC insignia engraved in gold on right side. Frame is marked "Colt's PT. F.A. CO. Hartford, Conn. U.S.A." Colt checkered wooden grips with inlaid Colt gold engraved logo. Blued finish. One magazine marked "Colt Auto 45" on base plate. Barrel is marked "Colt .45 Auto MKIV/Series 70". The left forward trigger guard is marked “J”. Original cardboard box numbered to gun. Original blue velvet interior French fitted wooden walnut presentation box, with gold engraved "United States Marine Corps. Limited Edition" on front. Original literature. Original Colt Industries official certificate.

Condition Report: Very good. Metal surfaces exhibit very minor wear, light oxidization on trigger, and light pitting on hammer. Approximately 95%+ of finish remains. Bore is bright with strong rifling but exhibits minor use. Wooden grips exhibit minor handling marks. Mechanically very good. Case has minor wear. Presentation box has minor wear.
