A commemorative brooch of the women’s section of the Reichsarbeitsdienst—RADwJ (Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend)—dating from the Third Reich. Brooches of this type served as a memento of completed service and were worn by former members of the Women’s Reich Labor Service as a fastener for a scarf around the neck.
The badge is oval in shape, with a decorative border featuring spiral ornaments. In the center is the RAD emblem—a swastika above a stylized shovel symbol, framed by ears of grain. It is attached to a horizontal pin with a hook.
Material: zinc, silver-colored finish (remnants preserved)
