MODEL" MADE FROM EARLY PARTS.Cal. 45. S# 450. Standard configuration, 5.5" barrel, with John Kopek letter stating that gun is composite made of original parts: triggerguard S# 192 was manufactured as a component to 1st week production in 1873, with sub inspector O. W. Ainsworth "A" inspection stamp. The barrel also has very early S# 226 which is exposed with "A" inspection. The backstrap S# 96473 originated as 1883 inspected by Capt. John Greer and his "G" initial is present, S# 96473 according to records was issued in 1898 to "Rough Rider" Trooper Joseph Crockett, troop 1, 1st US Volunteer Cavalry. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: John Kopek letter explaining composite configuration by unscrupulous individual. CONDITION: good as configured, front sight is replacement, mechanics fine, good rifled bore.
