CONFEDERATE 3RD NATIONAL REUNION FLAG OF GENERAL

WICKHAM, HANOVER DRAGOONS. Third National “Blood Stained Banner” was adopted March 4, 1865, the final flag of the Confederacy. This flag also from Hickory Hill Plantation, antebellum home of General Williams C. Wickham. About 34" x 24", all cotton w/ hemmed edges, dbl. applique stars, still retains part of its original haft broken off just below bottom edge. CONDITION: good to very good overall, 2 stars are missing from canton, 1 from each side, sm. reductions as can be seen in photos. (02-13577-3/JS). $1,500-2,000.
