Description: 20 December 1924 PARIS. Cert. d'Action Nominatives de F1000. green, black. # 1000. No 192. Central fold with small edge-split (repaired). The company was formed in Paris, 1904, to acquire from the Banque Russo-Chinoise for 1.000.000 francs its concession to build a narrow-gauge line, called the Shansi Railway, and running across Shansi province from Tatung in the north to Puchow in the south. Shansi had enormous reserves of coal, as well as silver and copper. Work began immediately and was completed in 1907. The construction costs for the 243km line were 45.000.000 francs. The line became a successful and profitable French enterprise. An extension in 1913, between Tatung and the Szechwan capital of Chengdu, involved the Cie. Belge de Chemins de Fer en Chine. Extremely rare.
