CONTINENTAL LEATHER FOLDING RELIGIOUS ICON WITH ENGRAVED SILVER IMAGES, gilt-stamped leather case with easel back, which folds out into a triptych format that holds five engraved silver metal plaques with black and gilt detailing, center with large plaque featuring Jesus on the cross with Mary kneeling and clinging at the bottom of the cross, flanked by two other figures, two side panels having four total small portraits of the Four Evangelists. Silver of unknown fineness/metal content, large center plaque signed "PN" in lower left corner. Late 19th/early 20th century. 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3/4" OA closed.
