CONTINENTAL WALNUT 70 CAL. FLINTLOCK, POSSIBLY 18TH CENTURY
Possibly Dutch parts, unmarked lock and barrel, barrel round to octagonal, walnut stock with brass trigger guard and butt plate. The full walnut stock with hand-carved decoration. Total length 43". Given the small size and hand-carved stock decoration, the musket may possibly be associated with Native Americans. Consignor reports deaccessioned from the First Peoples Museum of American Indian and Eskimo.
