GPAnalysis: A 6.0 sold for $2000 in 3/23.

Credits: Cover: Al Feldstein. Scripts: Harvey Kurtzman, Bill Gaines, Al Feldstein, Johnny Craig. Art: Reed Crandall, George Evans (2 stories), Johnny Craig.Feldstein Covers for Craig: "The bold, unpleasant image to the cover of #19, marking Feldstein's only art contribution to CSS, is the first non-Johnny Craig cover in its brief but bloodstained history. The absence of a Craig story in the lead position (his only contribution this time being the reprint of 'Murder May Boomerang' from #1) signals the beginning of the end for Craig's CSS tenure. That Feldstein cover, by the way, is a very good job of its kind – similar to the disturbing, violent images that Craig used on the covers of #16 and #17, typically not referring to his own stories; Craig somehow didn't seem to have the stomach for these... but Feldstein is more than up to the job.... The loss of Craig to CSS will leave the book without its prime proponent; but the addition of Crandall and Evans softens the blow." – Max Allan Collins, Crime SuspenStories Vol. 4. Russ Cochran: 1983.______________________________________________________________
