Criminal history. A rather unique archive containing 50-60 black-white silver gelatin photographs of criminals and of police officers at the NYC Police Station (New York). The images are in slightly different formats and originate from different eras during the 20th century. Many are 18 cm. x 24 cm. or vice versa, but quite a few are also ID portraits in smaller formats. Several are accompanied by printed descriptions and/or stamps on the verso of who you see in the pictures: from murderers, terrorists and robbers to named policemen. There are also some printed texts with pictures - "Wanted for Murder." Stored in a red cardboard box (approx. 46 cm. x 36 cm.) with printed labels affixed: NYC Police Station. Show full text
