No.1238. Signed by Payne, Williams, and Pitkin. Uncancelled. Printed on thick laid paper. Standard size, designs and Green imprint on back. A scarcer series of non-interest-bearing bills. The notes are the same style and imprint as the earlier notes from the 1760's. The notes were due on June 1, 1775 with 12,000 Pounds authorized. Five denominations issued from Two Shillings & Six Pence to Forty Shillings. Lightly folded and very underrated at this grade level. A series that is effectively unknown in CU grade. Another early Connecticut note that is vastly underrated at this grade level and in this uncancelled state of preservation.
