Unusual vintage bowie knife. The casing on the bolster reads XXX CASE on 1 side and U.S. on the other, blade is blackened measuring 8 1/4 inches of 1/4 inch stock. Half tang with wood scales and rivets. with a duck head ornamentation. Total length 14 1/2 inches. The sheath is wooden with a duck head ornamentation and hand sewn leather belt attachment.
