CUSTOM ENGRAVED & SILVER INLAID MODEL 61

WINCHESTER RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 241564. Standard configuration with 24" barrel with Winchester markings on left rear and gold bead front sight is in dovetailed ramp, rear sight missing; dovetail open. Barrel and action are engraved with considerable coverage of semi-relief large shaded scroll surrounding game scenes on sides; major subjects are inlaid in high relief silver. A jackrabbit is running through open cut-over woodland on left side, while a squirrel is perched on a branch on right. Action is fitted with Winchester 56B receiver sight engraved en suite. Original walnut stocks have been relief carved with acanthus scroll. Scroll on butt surrounds point pattern checkering. White bone grip cap has initials "GHF"; scrimshawed. CONDITION: very fine as custom finished with only a few minor marks visible in wood. Bore appears to be good except for bulge in barrel 2" behind muzzle. Mechanically fine. (26-4182/MGM).
