CUT AND PRESSED GLASS PAIR OF WHALE OIL / FLUID STAND LAMPS, colorless lead glass with fine gilt-decoration, each having an ovoid font with ten cut oval panels, raised on a hexagonal base with a baluster-form stem, wafer construction, one having a likely original brass collar with traces of gilt decoration, other with a replaced brass collar. Each fitted with a period two-tube burner with chains and caps. Probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Third quarter 19th century. 9 3/4" H to top of collar, 4 1/2" DOA base.
One undamaged; other nearly undamaged with a single chip to the underside of the base; each having some wear to the gilt-decoration especially on the stem.
