Cabinet, Furniture - Wood - Rare and old document (choba dansu) cabinet with many drawers from south west Japan - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) Rare old small document chest, originating from Kyushu in the South-West of Japan (or possibly from Korea) , with 2 hinged doors, behind which there are many (6 !) . drawers in different sizes. The inside of the hinged doors show glued old school or Buddhist leaflets. All handles on the inside are made of brass. There are no keys with this cabinet. All original interesting hardware with a large lock-plate in the middle. On the top there a remaining circle-shaped trace of old use. Please see picture no. 16. This cabinet is in nice un-restored original condition. All drawers and doors are in good functional order. When shipped we will add a certificate of authenticity.
