In 1986 a new car body appeared that combined the angular lines of the original Seville with new rounded edges. This new series had a V8 transverse engine that moved the front wheels. The new chassis of the Seville/Eldorado had an advanced four-speed automatic transmission and a 4. 5 L V8 engine with an average highway consumption of 7. 8 L/100 km. This new series was the first model in the world with an on-board computer that monitored the engine and other systems of the car. The Seville Touring Sedan was introduced in 1988 and was equipped with FE2 Touring suspension.
