Yerba mate calabash-shaped gourd in sterling silver, finely hand decorated with plant-themed motifs; handles are shaped as mythological creatures and the main body is embellished with two eagles. Traditionally used to drink an infusion prepared by steeping dried leaves of yerba mate, following a South American longstanding use. Made in Chile in the mid-20th century.
