Calligraphy Couplet and Solo Calligraphy by Tan Shu

A Chinese calligraphy couplet and a solo calligraphy, both in ink on rice paper by Tan Shu. The 7-character couplet has 1 seal. The solo calligraphy has 1 seal.

Dimensions are: the largest measures 30 1/4 in. tall X 10 1/2 in. wide, 76.8 cm tall X 26.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The couplet has creasing; the solo calligraphy has several tears and small holes to the top along with creasing.

Provenance: From Mr. Liu in Seattle, Washington.
