Calligraphy Poem, Chen Shuren Dedicated to Tiehan

陳樹人 書法立軸 A Chinese calligraphy poem in ink on paper by Chen Shuren. The calligraphy has 2 seals, a dedication to Tiehan, and is mounted on a paper backing with wooden dowels.

Dimensions are: 50 1/2 inches tall X 12 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The calligraphy has creasing and some mold.

Provenance: From the estate of Li Tiehan. Li Tiehan (1904-1965) was a follower of Chiang Kai-shek and a graduate of the 2nd Infantry Division of the Huangpu Army Military Academy. Throughout his lifetime, he held multiple political and military offices, serving as the deputy head of the private sector of the Ministry of Finance and the head of the Guangdong Jiangphong Marine Corps in 1929, and as the Deputy Brigade Commander of the 88th Division in 1931. In 1932, Li Tiehan entered the military secret service office, where he came to the attention of Dai Li. Responsible for the defense work of Chiang Kai-shek, his ultimate position within the military secret service effectively made him the chairman of the military committee. In July 1945, he was awarded the rank of Major General of the Army. He continued to serve in political posts that drew on his military and police background, until going into exile in Taiwan in late 1949, where he later served as the Lieutenant General of the Ministry of National Defense. He remained an active politician and military official until his retirement in 1962, shortly before his death. 拍品441至448來自於黎鐵漢舊藏。黎鐵漢（1904 - 1965），字瀛橋。黃埔軍校第二期、中央軍校憲警班、中央軍校政治特別訓練班、陸軍大學甲級第三期將官班畢業。早年考入黃埔陸軍軍官學校第二期步兵科受訓，1925年9月卒業後，隨軍東征和北伐，致力於國民革命。1927年“四·一二”反革命政變後，追隨蔣介石，青雲直上，1929年任財政部緝私衛商團副團長，廣東江防海軍陸戰隊團長。1931年任第八十八師副旅長。治軍頗嚴，為蔣介石所嘗識，1932年，黎鐵漢進入軍統特務處，被戴笠看中，1933年 7月，戴笠將黎鐵漢推薦給蔣介石，任“隨節工作組”組長，專門負責對蔣介石的保衛工作，公開職務叫做軍事委員會委員長侍從室警備組長。1945年7月授陸軍少將。1946年1月任國民政府主席警衛室少將主任。同年7月任國民政府參軍，8月任廣州市警察局長。1947年秋任廣東省警保處副處長。1948年任廣州警備司令，不遺余力地為中國國民黨效力。1949年4月任總統府參軍，5月授陸軍中將。同年秋到台灣。續任總統府參軍，後任國防部中將部員。1962年退役。
