Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer Empire (Angkor culture), ca. 800 to 1300 CE. A beautiful cast bronze container for keeping lime, shaped like a column, with a round foot and a tiered, stupa-like lid. The vessel separates into two halfs - a body and a lid - and has a knobbed handle on top of the lid. Size: 1" W x 3.7" H (2.5 cm x 9.4 cm)
