Campo del Cielo Meteorite Iron, IAB-MG Chaco, Argentina Found: 1576 Some meteorites look like what a meteorite should, and there is admittedly a certain natural fascination with meteorites that are spectacularly large, in size. This is such an example consisting of a seriously big and massive Campo del Cielo Iron Meteorite with exquisite form, superb texture and enormous weight, tipping the scales and registering a whopping 64 kilograms (140 pounds). A glorious, natural shape best characterizes this fantastic 'Campo' that is a wonderful representation of the "Field of Heaven" where it landed in Argentina likely some 4,000 to 5,000 years ago based on an analysis of the craters found there.
