Canada Goose maker unknown from the Bellport, L.I. school. The body is constructed of natural cork nailed and pegged to a wooden bottom board. The cork is only painted on the chest and under the tail. The bottom board was painted white and shaded with black. The head has a slight cast or turn. All original with chain ballast. Provenance: Acquired by descent from Dr. George R. Brush, of the settling Brush family of Southold, Long Island, New York.
