Candle Box - American Oak Early 19th Century
Early 19th century candle box made from American oak. Hand cut dovetails - design indicates it may have been made in Pennsylvania. There is a gouge in the bottom of the box which is partially visible on the bottom of the left side when viewing from front. Sliding cover has a small gouge in lower left corner (not visible when cover is on box). Base is 6" x 4-1/8" x 16.75" tall. Inner dimensions are 5.25" x 3.5" x 12-1/8".
