A superb set of solid silver candlesticks, each measuring 23. 5cm in height and together weighing 679g, sculpted as classical fluted columns with garlands of laurel leaves hanging under the candle cups, standing on solid, round bases. \r

Marked to the underside with crescent moon between two stars assay mark of Halle (Sachsen Anhalt) , cipher 12 for 12 loth (. 750) silver and maker´s mark CWT \r
for Carl Wilhelm Tibelius (1723-1797) , gold- and silversmith, active in Halle from 1751. \r
German manufacture, second half of the 18th century. \r

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age and use. \r
