Candlestick - (4) - Brass, Wood, A lot of imposing candlesticks from the private chapel in the family palace from the early 19th

[ translate ]

A rare and splendid set of four altar candlesticks from the mid-19th century belonging to the furnishings of the chapel in the family palace.
Very beautiful because it is rare to find four identical ones. They are Italian production from the second half of the 19th century.
They are very particular in terms of workmanship as the internal candlestick is made of wood with a particular shape covered with a brass plate with lion's paw feet. The base is circular delimited by circular circles 10 cm wide in diameter with the three feet 12 cm lion's paw shape on which the candlestick rests. It is all a process as we have the first part in the shape of a vago on which an oval rests and then the straight part which ends in a semi circle with a candle holder and the upper part in wood. Each candlestick is 42cm tall.
4 excellently crafted candlesticks, skilled work by cabinetmakers of the past to create a wooden candlestick and by metal craftsmen to cover it. They are characterized by a play of circles and volutes for an elegant and sober movement, unlike those with a smooth column. Rare to find 4 the same as on the sites you can find a maximum of three or one cup.
They are in good condition with some age-related stains.
I don't like shiny brass, but I love the original antique patina. Which is why, except that they do not require restoration or cleaning work by artisans, all of my objects, even if I don't use them, are kept clean so that they are ready when necessary.
They are part of the furnishings of the 17th century chapel that I received and I have different types of different sizes.
My ancestors gave a lot of importance to the house, for them it was the business card to demonstrate their importance and they loved to renew and change objects according to the style of the times.
Which is why I have furniture and ornaments from the 1500s to the 1900s because everyone was trying to add or improve and make it up to date with the period.
These objects are part of the inheritance of the furnishings that have come to me and, given the large number of objects, I have decided to sell some of them.
Given their linear shape they are suitable for use in a modern or ancient home, also transformed into lamps with the addition of small lampshades or with candles or to illuminate an important table for a dinner with alternating flowers. I sell them to have new life because I already have 8 others and precisely 4 of each Console and I have several left over.
For shipping I use private couriers and do not post this so that the item arrives sooner and has double packaging given its delicacy.
Shipping costs vary depending on the buyer's place of residence, whether Europe zone 1 or 2 such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, eastern countries.
Customs duties will be borne by the buyer
