Candlestick, A Pair of George III Candlesticks (2) - .925 silver, Silver - John Roberts & Co, Sheffield - England - 1813

An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver pair of large table candlesticks, in a Neoclassical style, having round bodies with hand-chased swags and garland decoration, removable nozzles, bead-edged borders and a wooden base. Made in Sheffield 1813 Made by John Roberts & Co Fully English hallmarked, very good visible. The dimensions of these fine pair of hand-made silver candlesticks are: Length 29 cm (11. 4 inch) Base diameter 14. 2 cm (5. 6 inch) Approx. 1707 grams (866 + 841) 55 troy ounce / weighted) (Scones weight together 73 grams) They are in wonderfull condition! It is not possible to believe that they are 207 years old and in such great condition. They both have a decorated initial / crest on the scone and base. The previous owner likely put some glue around the hallmarks to prevent rubbing of the hallmarks. Therefore they are still clear and pristine.
