Handcolored engraved folding frontispiece entitled "The Beggars Carnival" by George Cruikshank, text in double columns, advertisement on verso of terminal leaf for Andrewes's Stranger's Guide; frontispiece offset to title-page and repaired along bottom margin with some losses to the caption and credit line. Rebound in half red morocco over cloth, brown endpapers, spine lettered gilt; joints lightly rubbed.
First and only edition of a rather scarce title.
