Lloyd Swan:
biography
Lloyd Schwan, along with his partner and collaborator Lyn Godley, were the first American designers since the 1960s to raise their profile in the New York design world. He is known for his exuberant use of color, even at a time when this tendency was not yet widespread. He first exhibited his fun, functional projects in Milan in 1988, paving the way for the emergence of American designer interiors affordable to all. With it, the high-quality product leaves the art galleries and the limited editions to reach the general public. Today his works are in the Museum of Art in Denver
for art and design in New York and at Moma.
