Hand-applied blue and light blue enamel inlays and hand-finished engravings. The clip is shaped like a whelk shell. Large size. The nib is handcrafted, rhodium-plated 18-carat gold, finely engraved, medium point. Charge by cartridge or converter. Comes with courtesy converter. The pen is inspired by the Modernist style, a counterpart to Art Nouveau, with Antoni Gaudí as its most famous protagonist. Considered the most innovative and original pen at the Paris Pen Show in November 1995 by a panel of over 100 experts, the Modernista pen instantly became a very rare and hard-to-find piece. The exotic design and polychrome mosaics characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement are what inspire this work of art. La Modernista is the second edition of the Caran d'Ache Private Collection, making it a truly exceptional work of art limited to 1,888 pieces. With a body of 110 grams of silver, small blue cubes covered with translucent hand-painted enamel have been interspersed. The quill and inkwell are works of art to adorn your desk.
