Carl Barks "Far Out Safari" Signed Limited Edition Miniature Lithograph Print #444/595 (Walt Disney/Another Rainbow, 1994). Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, and the nephews are hanging on for dear life as they ride a VERY long-horned rhino to the Kaffir de Gaffir gold mine, in this rollicking limited edition miniature lithograph print. Carl Barks created this wild action painting in 1975, inspired by his comic book story "So Far and No Safari" from Uncle Scrooge #61 (Dell, 1966). That flag attached to the rhino's horn denotes the Junior Woodchucks, an all-knowing boy's organization with a manual that alerted Huey, Dewey, and Louie about the possibilities of hitching a ride on an animal by using a certain whistle! Wow, way to go, guys! The print is on Opalesque Keramique art paper, hand-signed by the Duck Man, Carl Barks (1901 – 2000), with an image area of 10" x 7.5"; it's matted and framed using Plexiglas for an overall size of 17.5" x 15.5". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Print condition is Fine with light handling. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
