A homemade book of Borg's own personal collection of bookplates that he designed. Inked title page reads "EX-LIBRIS by CARL OSCAR BORG." in his hand. The artwork is stunning, and all executed by Borg in a variety of styles and motifs, from whimsical scenes to industrial ones. Forty-four (44) beautiful bookplates laid onto pages in a diary-style book, along with 16 loose plates. Notable Ex Libris included from the libraries of Carl Oscar Borg, Phoebe A. Hearst, The Warren D. Wood Memorial Library, Axel Lundgren, and many others. 60 total Ex Libris of various sizes, most 3 1/2" x 3" or 4" x 4", all in a brown leatherette book with embossed medieval motif on front and fancy diary-clasp and corners; measures 9" x 6 1/2" overall. A great personal Borg creation and artifact.
