Carl Sigmund Luber started in 1896 during the rise of Art Nouveau as artistic director at the faience department of Norica by Johann von Schwarz. There he shaped the new style. Carl Sigmund Luber's designs set the highest standards worldwide for the first phase of Art Nouveau.
Luber designed tiles, flower boxes and vases, coasters, clocks and bowls. Beautiful women and idyllic landscapes are his favorite motifs.
The tray was made in Germany between 1900-1910.
The tray has a clearly visible hairline crack (see photo) .
