Iconic floor lamp by Carlo Nason for Mazzega Floor lamp consisting of 7 pcs of gradient mouth-blown Murano glass interlocking parts that provide an enchanting effect resting on a bronze base. Sfumato / model LT316 is a renown iconic design that was designed in 1968 by Italian designer Carlo Nason and was made by A. V glassworks Mazzega, Murano Italy. This is the largest version of the design that was also available in lesser parts. The electrical cable is totally restored and replaced. All the other parts are like new, see in the pictures. Born in Murano in 1935, Carlo Nason appropriates the most refined glassmaking techniques and, demonstrating an innovative design attitude. Nason's collaboration with glassworks A. V. Mazzega lasted from 1965 until the 1980s and resulted in a range of iconic lighting designs that remain with great demand. His works have been exhibited over decades in various art-design museums and galleries in Paris, Milan, and New York. Carlo Nason lives and works in Murano, Italy.
