Carlo Nason - Mazzega (attr.) - Design floor lamp

Floor lamp created by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 60s/70s.
. This model is known as "Chains"

. Steel structure with black base, original floor switch.
. For the top parts the artist selected, obviously, processed and blown Murano glass. It is not smooth on the inside, instead it presents a dash-like texture.

. The lamp is approx. 163 cm high.
. Functions with 4 lighting bulbs.
. It is in good condition, but given its age it needs a cleaning to bring back the shine of the steel.

. Carlo Nason was born in Murano in 1935, Nason belonged to one of the oldest glassworks families on the island.
. He collaborated with the family glassworks V. Nason & C with whom he made some pieces which are exhibited in the collection of the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning New York. Between 1965 and 1980 he collaborated with the glassworks A. V. Mazzega from Murano, whose products, no longer in production today, are being fought over in many international auctions.
