Condition Report:
This work is in good condition overall. There are tonal and textural variations throughout the surface of the work, including evidence of the artist's collage application process; most notably, vertical lines and some small pinholes following the direction of the wood grain that were present at the moment of execution. There is burnishing to the collage elements at the edges of the board, inherent to the artist's working method and present at the moment of execution. There is fading throughout, most notably to the vertical right of the seated figure, the collage elements composing the seated figure, and to the yellow gouache passage along the lower edge of the board, partially not visible when framed. For additional unframed images, kindly contact Alya Sama at Alya.Sama@sothebys.com. Framed under glass.
