"Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, illustrated by Eric Kincaid, published by Brimax Books, Newmarket, England, 2nd Edition, 1995. Printed in Spain. The portrayal of Alice in the illustrations by Kincaid is based on the photograph of Alice Pleasance Liddell, the original 'Alice' who motivated Charles Dodgson [Lewis Carroll] to write this classic book.

Illustrated hard boards, large format: 8.1/2" x 11"; color illustrated endpapers, 108 pages fully illustrated with color illustrations, printed on high quality glossy paper, very good condition.

Eric Kincaid (1931-2023) was British artist and illustrator. After completing his study at Gravesend School of Art, Kincaid worked in advertising. In 1971 he started to illustrated children's books for Brimax publishing company. During the 35 years working for Brimax, Kincaid illustrated over 200 books including Wind in The Willows, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, Oliver Twist, Alice In Wonderland and many books of poetry and nursery rhymes.

In 2012, Kincaid took up miniature painting. Since then he has gone on to become well known in the miniature painting circles with his beautiful paintings of well-known children’s story characters and fantasy paintings of fairy tale characters, fairies and dragons.
