Scarce woodcut worldmap printed from the first block, first published in 1544. "The map in Pinet's work is particularly interesting as further text below the map describes the nature and properties of the winds and how they affect crops and human beings" (Sh.). Contrary to Sh., plate 70, our copy with additional page numbering recto and with small difference in title 'cosmographicque' and directly below 'circius'. - Uncol. Cleaned, still some spotting in places, light shine-through of text. Repaired tear at lower centerfold up to center of image, tear-out at bottom left just affecting text reinstated, a few letters replaced in ms.; furthermore small rep. marginal tears.
