Rare and large map centered on the Americas and the Pacific, based in part on de Fer's and on Châtelain's maps. Third and last state with view of Cape of Good Hope and new insets of Vera Cruz, Beye de Rio de Janeiro, La Havane, Porto Bello, Istme de Panama et al and imprint information, showing California as an island. "According to Koeman, this map was never issued in a deLeth atlas" (McLaughlin/M.). - 2 sheets joined; contemp. col. in full. Some browning, partly and esp. at right somewhat stronger; slight oxidation to green colouring. With slight horizontal folding.

Châtelain 1719. Hier im dritten und letzten Zustand mit Verlegeradresse und neuen Ausschmückungen, diese jeweils in figürl. und ornamentalen Kartuschen: Pläne und Umgebungskarten bzw. Ansichten von Rio de Janeiro, Havanna, Mexiko, Panama, Portobelo, Vera Cruz, Gibraltar und dem Kap der Guten Hoffnung. - Etwas gebräunt, stellenw. u. vor allem rechts etwas stärker; grünes Kolorit nur leicht anoxydiert. Mit leichter horizontaler Mittelfalte.
