The compact opens to reveal a mirror on the inside of the lid, and two hinged compartments, along with powder puff. The lip of the lid is marked Cartier Paris, a French maker's mark, and French hallmark. Silver case hinge, and internal gold hinges are all tight and in great working order. Some scratching evident on case enamel. Most loss to enamel noticeable on the thumbpiece.
