Cartier Enamel, nephrite and diamond case, 1920s
The rectangular case decorated with a geometric pattern of light and dark blue enamel to nephrite terminals, the thumb piece embellished with rose diamonds, signed Cartier, numbered, maker's marks for Gustave Renault, French assay mark for gold.
Condition Report:
Signed CARTIER PARIS LONDRES NEW YORK MADE IN FRANCE, numbered 04159 and 00000. Maker's marks for Gustave Renault, 37 rue Réaumur, 75003 Paris. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Enamel with small areas of loss and damage, chips. Nephrite in good condition. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.10 carat, of decorative quality. Scratches to the metal consistent with age and use. In good condition. Measuring approximately 80 x 25 x 25mm. Gross weight approximately 81 grams.
