Among the many models Cartier produced, this Réversible Cabriolet is one of the finest creations with unusual shape. Throughout its history, it is also one of the few jewelry companies that pushed the envelope with watch designs, it has produced several reversible designs in its past, the most notable being the Basculante model in which the case can be flipped over to conceal the dial side of the watch. This example is unusual in that the case can be pivoted 360 degrees realized in 18k yellow gold with four-body polished and brushed case, cabochon sapphire-set on the bezel and solid case back. The dial is particualr with a silvered guillochè pattern, painted Roman quarter numerals and baton indexes and compleated by Blued steel feuille hands.
