Cartier Gold, gem set, enamel and diamond bracelet, circa 1940
The rotating clasp pavé-set with circular- and single-cut diamonds enhanced with buff-top sapphires and emeralds, framed by black enamel, to an articulated band composed of baton links, length approximately 200mm, signed Cartier Paris, numbered, maker's mark for Cartier, French assay marks for gold.
Condition Report:
Signed Cartier Paris, numbered 03700 and 861970. Maker's mark for Cartier Société Anonyme. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Sapphires slightly violetish blue of medium saturation, slightly included, chips and nicks. Emeralds bluish green of medium saturation, moderately included, minor surface abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats, on average H-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Some damage and losses to the enamel. Scratches to the metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition overall. Width approximately 30mm. Gross weight approximately 118 grams.
