Cartier Onyx, emerald and diamond bangle, 'Panthère', circa 1969
The hinged bangle pavé-set throughout with brilliant-cut diamonds and polished onyx, to a polished onyx nose and pear-shaped emerald eyes, inner circumference approximately 150mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay marks for platinum, case stamped Cartier.
Accompanied by Cartier certificate no. 0555 250698, stating that the jewel was created in 1969.

Signed Cartier Paris, numbered 012947. French assay marks for platinum. Emeralds stated to weigh a total of approximately 0.25 carats according to the Cartier certificate, slightly bluish green of strong saturation, moderately included, surface reaching inclusion to one emerald, minor surface abrasions. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of approximately 17.43 carats according to the Cartier certificate, on average G-H colour, VVS-VS clarity, as graded in the mount. Onyx in good condition, some onyx displays a brown body colour or brown speckling. Scuffs and scratches to the metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Highly naturalistic, three-dimensional rendering of the panther. Gross weight approximately 57 grams. Accompanied by a case stamped Cartier, lid detached, only held by the satin lining.
