The cushion-shaped ruby weighing 6.29 carats flanked by baguette diamonds, size 49, signed Cartier, partially numbered, inscribed ‘E.G.S. to M.E.G. NOV. 8, 1932’.

Accompanied by SSEF reports no. 88316, dated 19 October 2016, and no. 28620, dated 15 November 1995, each stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 88316, dated 19 October 2016, and SSEF report no. 28620, dated 15 November 1995, each stating that the cushion-shaped ruby weighing 6.29 carats, measuring 12.47 x 8.72 x 5.72mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.

Signed Cartier, partially numbered 5092. Inscribed ‘E.G.S. to M.E.G. NOV. 8, 1932’. Ruby slightly purplish red of medium strong saturation, moderately included, some surface reaching inclusions one leading to a cavity by a prong, minor fingerprints, needles, chips to the crown and girdle, abrasions to the facet junctions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.40 - 0.50 carat, on average I-J colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Scuffs and scratches consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 4 grams.
