Designed as a bird set with an oval sapphire weighing approximately 1.80 carats, embellished with a cabochon turquoise and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold and platinum, signed Cartier Paris, indistinctly numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition Report:
Accompanied by a GCS report no. 80237-55, dated October 17 2019, stating that the sapphire weighing approximately 1.8 carats is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. For further details, please refer to the report. Signed Cartier Paris, indistinctly numbered 013777. Stamped with French assay marks for 18k yellow gold and platinum, with Cartier's maker's marks. Sapphire is medium slightly purplish blue of strong saturation, few natural inclusions with abrasions, scratches and chips as examined under 10x magnification, not noticeable when worn. Diamonds are bright and lively. Turquoise is medium greenish blue of medium saturation, displaying prominent natural matrix throughout. Diamonds are bright and lively. Sings of wear to metal consistent with use. Brooch size approximately 3.6 x 2.7cm. Overall in very good condition.
