Description:A very impressive eye catcher on which a master craftsman has intricately carved a dragon and tiger into this swordfish tusk. Could be seen as a type of scrimshaw. Scrimshaw is the name given to engravings and carvings done in bone or ivory. At the heart of Chinese mythology are four spiritual creatures (in Chinese - Sì Shòu, in Japanese - Shishin). The dragon and tiger are the perfect couple in Feng Shui. Dragon is "yang" while the tiger is "yin", and they complement each other in creating yin-yang balance to harvest successful matrimonial bliss. This celestial couple is the symbol of everlasting love and they being together is the ultimate symbol of marital happiness.
