Cased Brace of English Flintlock Pistols, by " Mortimer London "

Wonderful antique cased pair of fine English flintlock traveling pistols by "Mortimer, London" gunmaker to His Majesty and in operation circa 1790 - 1840 . Round steel 4" barrels (.58 caliber) signed to the top "Mortimer, London". Micro checkered grips in excellent condition. Steel retainers for ram rods which are original. Locks in very fine condition engraved with matching patterns of floral & sunburst decoration, signed to the face "Mortimer". Case with old label over green felt liner reading "H.W. MORTIMER, Gun Maker, To His Majesty, 89 Fleet Street, London: Wholesale, Retail, & for Exportation". Cased set including numerous accessories and parts including spare round bullets, bullet mold, barrel tool, powder flask wrapped in red leather, chisel, cotton, and spare flints. Size of pistol 8 1/4" L
