Cased & Silver Inlaid Spanish Lefaucheux Style Pinfire Revolver With Folding Bayonet
An exceptionally handsome and well-preserved Spanish presentation-grade revolver of Lefaucheux-style pinfire design, chambered for approximately 11mm (.44 caliber). Features a 6" barrel with brass bead front sight and ornate silver inlay in a floral scroll motif, along with silver-inlaid lettering "FA. FO. AERATE EIBAR" on the barrel. Unusual 5" folding spike bayonet mounted beneath the barrel. Single/double action with six-round fluted cylinder, ejector rod, hinged loading gate and folding trigger. Fitted with two-piece hardwood grips featuring hand-checkering and scalloped carved borders, with lanyard ring stud at the base of the grip. All visible numbered components are stamped "20," indicating matching parts throughout. Accompanied by a handsome fitted walnut presentation case with wine-colored velvet interior and covered storage compartment for cartridges. Retains 40%+ of the blued finish with areas turning to a gray or brown patina. The silver inlay is uncleaned. Grips show light wear with checkering and carving still sharp. Bore shows light oxidation spots with rifling visible. Great mechanics. Case shows a few minor scuffs and does not close completely.
