Casket - Lacquered wood, White Metal - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) A beautiful lacquered wood, Urushi lacquer, Meiji period, 19th century, with handles on the sides, exquisite decoration with vine leaves framed by gilt border and cartouches of Japanese landscapes on the lid and front. Good overall condition for its age and use, only the corners show some lacquer sweeping, as can be seen in photos, but nothing remarkable as a whole, it has no lock or key. Origin important Spanish aristocratic private collection
