Casket - Oak
Beautiful richly studded chest - probably from North Netherlands
This pierced work is very beautiful and nicely done.
Nice patina on the wood.
The chest was later painted on the inside for practical reasons – very nice for storing clothes, for example.
The original lock is still in place but no longer works.
