With this painting the artist wanted to pay homage to his Ravenna (Byzantine capital) city where he grew up, as gold is used and at times on Caesar's robes.
He recently created a series of 10 reproductions of vintage 1920s advertising posters for Martini, a multinational beverage company, to be distributed in local bars in Italy and is exhibiting his paintings in three galleries in Ravenna, Brera and Milan.
